What qualifications do you have?

I have been playing the violin for 15 years, 12 of those years being classically trained with the Suzuki Method. I have been performing for just as long as I have been playing: in solo recitals, district/state competitions, concerts, orchestras, bands, and weddings.

What does a wedding ceremony include?

A ceremony includes approximately 15-20 minutes of pre-wedding music and anything during the ceremony which includes: seating of the mothers/grandmothers, bridal party entrance, procession of the bride, unity ceremony, and recessional. I will also play after the recessional as people exit the venue. Anything beyond that (cocktails, dinner, etc) is an extra fee.

Do you attend the rehearsal?

Yes, if needed, I can come to your rehearsal as an additional part of your Ceremony Package.

How much do you charge?

My rates vary according to your specific needs and location.

How do I pay?

I require a deposit when you sign a contract to reserve your date. The balance must be paid in full on or before the wedding day.

How do I choose the music for the ceremony?

There is a list of popular wedding songs and a guideline of where they should be played in the ceremony under the "Songs" link. Please This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it of the specific songs that you want performed as soon as possible, but no later than one (1) month before the performance. If you would like me to play any songs that are not listed, please let me know! I would love to learn and perform them for your wedding. Of course, if I must buy the pieces myself (i.e. it is something that I don’t already own), then the charge for the music will be added to your bill.

When do you arrive?

I arrive about an hour before I am scheduled to begin playing to get set up and make sure everything is in order.

What do you wear?

How does an outdoor/beach wedding work with a solo violinist?

For outdoor/beach weddings I bring an electric violin with a small battery powered amp to make sure I can be heard by everyone.
